Bodi FIN project this year again finishes with nationwide competition in financial knowledge

March 30, 2026

This year’s Bodi FIN project, organised by Banka Slovenije in conjunction with the Ministry of Finance, has concluded with a nationwide competition to test financial knowledge. More than 5000 students took part in the entire project, with 146 students earning gold awards in the competition as testimony to their good financial knowledge.

Banka Slovenije has been strengthening its efforts to improve financial literacy of children and young people through a number of activities. The Bodi FIN project addresses students in years four to nine of primary school, and was launched by Banka Slovenije last year in conjunction with the Ministry of Finance. More than 5000 students from primary schools across Slovenia took part in the project this year.

The project concluded with a nationwide schools competition held during Global Money Week. Beforehand teachers were sent exercises to prepare their students for the competition, with extra help from workshops delivered at school by Banka Slovenije staff. More than 2400 students took part in the competition and 146 students earned a gold awards testimony of their good financial knowledge. They will try their luck at the prize draw for the main prize: a tour of the Croatian central bank in Zagreb.

Through all these activities, we find at Banka Slovenije that all the participants display substantial interest for content of this kind. We are therefore proud that the project has helped to include more financial content in the education process.

This school year we are once again running the Masters of the Digital Future project, under the patronage of President Nataša Pirc Musar. This year’s project will conclude in May with a grand international final debate with a number of other central banks having joined the project.
