Bodi FIN – a financial literacy project for primary school children
Under the patronage of Acting Governor Primož Dolenc and Minister of Finance Klemen Boštjančič, Banka Slovenije and the Ministry of Finance are once again organising the Bodi FIN financial literacy project, this time for the 2025/2026 school year.
The project is aimed at students from fourth to ninth grades of primary school, who will participate in a variety of activities to help them think about financial subjects related to digital security. They will learn the basics of managing their own finances, and will discover how to recognise online fraud and how to use online payment systems safely. They will also learn about the importance of protecting personal data, how to create secure passwords, and how to act responsibly with AI.
The course of the project
Mentors will receive the Bodi FIN workbook, which they will tackle together with their students in class. The mentors will be able to submit the completed workbooks to Banka Slovenije, with the students receiving a symbolic prize in return.
The project officially begins on 7 November 2025 with an open doors day, at which visitors will be able to learn about a variety of financial content in a fun way through an interactive educational programme.
Banka Slovenije will also hold a seminar for project mentors on 28 November 2025. A number of finance workshops will be held at primary schools over the course of the school year.
The project will conclude in March 2026 with online competition, which will relate directly to the content of the Bodi FIN workbooks.
We will draw 25 students from among the recipients of the gold award, who will go on a two-day trip to Zagreb and visit the Croatian National Bank. The other gold award recipients will receive practical prizes.
