Summer Night at the Museum and Mala galerija Banke Slovenije
Summer Night at the Museum and Mala galerija Banke Slovenije – the twenty-first so far – will take place on 17 June. For the third year in a row, the Museum and Mala galerija Banke Slovenije are preparing a diverse programme for various age groups, and on that day the museum will be open from 6 pm to 11 pm, Mala galerija will extend opening hours until 11 pm. Entrance is free of charge.
This year's Summer Night at the Museum will start at 6 pm with a Family Tour of the Museum, which is intended for families with children in primary school. After a guided introductory part, visitors will have the chance to explore the museum and its exhibits on their own with the help of our materials and guide. There is no entrance fee, but make sure to sign up for the tour by sending an email with information on your children's age to [email protected] by 15 June 2023.
At 7.30 pm this will be followed by a guided tour of the museum for anyone aged over eighteen and then a virtual game called Atlas's Secret at 9 pm, which is primarily designed for secondary-school students and older. This is an exciting virtual game with elements of an escape game, which provides a specific learning experience. The competitors are divided into groups who have to pass seven of Atlas's tests using a tablet, which ultimately gives them access to the museum's vault and its special contents.
Please sign up for the event you would like to attend by sending us an email to [email protected] by 15 June 2023. After you have signed up, we will send you further information and instructions.
As part of the Museum Summer Night at Mala galerija Banke Slovenije at 7 pm, we are organising a guided tour of the exhibition Photographs by Jon Derganec with the curator of the gallery and the young artist. The gallery will be open until 11 pm on that day. Entrance is free. No prior registration is required. Read more about the exhibition here.
