For individuals
The SISBON system allows the mutual exchange and processing of personal data on customers, i.e. individuals, between members of the system that are its users, and the administrators of personal databases of their customers. Banka Slovenije ensures the proper and unimpeded functioning of the system, while the accuracy and updating of data are ensured by banks, savings banks and other loan providers.
In accordance with the data protection regulation (GDPR), unless this right is restricted by a special law, an individual has, among other things, the right to access their own data and thus to inspect all personal data related to them in SISBON, including information on to whom, when, on what legal basis, and for what purpose the data was provided, and which member provided it. The individual also has the right to request information on the purpose of processing and the type of personal data being processed, as well as all necessary explanations related to this and an explanation of the technical or logical-technical decision-making procedures if automated decision-making with the processing of the individual's personal data is carried out.
If an individual reasonably objects to their personal data in SISBON, they can request in writing the deletion, correction, or restriction of processing from the member that submitted the data to the system or at the Banka Slovenije.
Common questions
An individual can access their own data in the following ways:
Electronic access to data through the Moj SISBON web or mobile application, where your data in SISBON is immediately available. Both applications are free to use, and access to data is available every day of the year.
By ordering an electronic data extract, where your data will be available within one working day after a SISBON member enters your request into the SISBON system. For this purpose, you must complete the form "Individual's Request for Personal Data Extract from SISBON" and indicate that you wish to receive the extract in electronic form via a dedicated website. You can submit the request for a data extract at any SISBON member or at the Bank of Slovenia's mailroom (the request must be submitted in person for identification purposes). After entering and processing the data extract request, you will receive a link via email through which you can retrieve the data extract after receiving an SMS password. Data retrieval is time-limited. Due to potential technical limitations when retrieving the file on mobile devices, we recommend retrieving the extract on a computer. Instructions for retrieving the extract are available here.
By ordering a printed extract by mail, where you will receive a registered letter no later than 15 days after submitting your request. The form "personal data extract request" can be submitted at any SISBON member or at the Bank of Slovenia's mailroom. An individual can authorize another natural or legal person to obtain their personal data from the SISBON system. For this purpose, the individual must complete the form "SISBON – Authorization," and the authorized person must also complete the additional form "Request for Personal Data Extract from SISBON by a Third Party with Authorization". The principal's signature on the authorization must be notarized.
An individual can exercise the right to correct data in SISBON in the following ways:
Electronic access to data through the Moj SISBON web or mobile application, where your data in SISBON is immediately available. Both applications are free to use, and access to data is available every day of the year.
By submitting the form "Individual's Request for Correction of Personal Data in SISBON", which is personally submitted to the member who provided the data to the system and to which the individual objects. The individual can also submit the request for data correction in person at the Bank of Slovenia's mailroom during opening hours.
The member is obliged to supplement, correct, or delete personal data within ten working days from the day the request is received and to inform the individual of this, or to inform them within the same period of the reasons why this will not be done. If the individual submits a request regarding the supplementation, correction, blocking, or deletion of data to the Bank of Slovenia, the Bank will forward this request to the system member who provided the disputed data to the system within three working days of receipt. The system member will inform the individual within ten working days of receiving the request whether the request is justified or not and will make the correction within the same period if the request is justified.
If the individual believes that their rights related to this request have been violated, they can seek judicial protection in accordance with personal data protection regulations.
