Until 26 April, the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WB) is taking place in Washington, D.C.
Acting Governor Primož Dolenc is attending the meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), which meets twice a year during every Spring Meetings and autumn Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank. The IMFC will discuss current developments in global economy and international financial markets, the accelarating economic fragmentation stemming from geopolitical tensions, the role of IMF in providing financial assistance to Member States, and the consultations launched last year on the future role of the Bretton Woods institutions. It will also address the General Review of Quotas, efforts to bolster the IMF's loan and subsidy trusts, the macroeconomic outlook, and possible policy responses under current conditions of increased uncertainty. Acting Governor and other Slovenian delegates with also attend a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of the IMF.
