Primož Dolenc has become the sixth Governor of Banka Slovenije, taking office for a six‑year term.
He was appointed by the National Assembly on 3 February 2026 at the proposal of the President of the Republic of Slovenia. As a new member of the Governing Board of Banka Slovenije, he took up his position on March 1, 2026.
Primož Dolenc was confirmed by the National Assembly in a secret ballot with 55 votes in favor. With that he became the sixth Governor of Banka Slovenije after France Arhar, Mitja Gaspari, Marko Kranjec, Boštjan Jazbec and Boštjan Vasle. The term of office of the Governor is six years, and may be reappointed.
