Annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund in Washington

Marko Kranjec, the Governor of the Bank of Slovenia, will attend the Annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C. on 23 and 24 September 2011. Among the main topics to be discussed at the meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), which will be attended by Governor Kranjec, are developments in the global economy and on the international financial markets, and forecasts of future developments and possible policy responses. The agenda also includes discussions regarding the consolidated multilateral surveillance report and the Managing Director's action plan.

In Washington, Governor Kranjec will attend the plenary session of the IMF and World Bank, and participate in a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of international financial and banking institutions.
