Caring for our employees

We offer a professional, stable and healthy working environment to all our employees. Our employees have expertise in various fields, and include economists and lawyers. In recent years, a large number of financial mathematicians and IT experts have joined.

We place a great focus on educating and training our employees, as we believe that lifelong learning contributes to the success of the organisation as a whole. We encourage our employees to expand their education in their fields of expertise, and to gain new soft skills and improve the soft skills they already have. We maintain a dedicated concern for their personal and career development.

As part of the European network of central banks and supervisory authorities, Banka Slovenije employees have great opportunity to participate in international projects and to gain experience of working abroad.

We are also the proud holders of a Family Friendly Enterprise certificate. A number of measures are available as evidence of our responsibility towards all generations of employees and their families. Employees have the opportunity to partly work from home, which encourages a good balance between work and private life. Our employees are also highly active in volunteer work and we mainly take part in campaigns of Slovenska Filantropija.

 For several consecutive years now, we have been ranked number one in the banking sector in the Respected Employer survey of labour market candidates, which assesses the reputation of Slovenian employers. The Respected Employer survey analyzes what motivates future employees regarding their career paths and what they expect of employers.

We set great store on providing a healthy working environment and ensuring the general health of our employees. We encourage a healthy way of life by organising various sporting activities and events, and also encouraging our employees to take part in cultural events.
