Sofra with Emira

As part of the exhibition Interwoven, artist Emira Bećirović invites visitors to a performance and get-together in the gallery space. The event will take the form of an open gathering, during which the artist, together with visitors, will continue the process of weaving a rug. You are invited to bring a small personal item that you can weave into the emerging tapestry.
A sofra, a traditional gathering space, will be set up next to the looms, where the artist will serve food and coffee and create a homely atmosphere. Weaving, storytelling, and sharing a meal will bring visitors together into a temporary community.
The event is open to all visitors; participation in the weaving is welcome, as is simply socializing and conversation.
