On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 6 pm, you are invited to a conversation between Maja Gazvoda and students of the textile and fashion design programme at the Department of Textiles, Graphic Arts and Design at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering.
The Imperfections exhibition combines student collections that explore the theme through the body, emotions, materials, and the creative process. It opens up various perspectives, often personal, on what deviates from the expected and the ideal. What happens when we stop viewing imperfection as a mistake, and start to see it as a space for exploration? The exhibited works depart from the expected order and functionality: silhouettes become deformed, materials crease, layer, tear and proliferate, surfaces become irregular and unpredictable.
