Personal data protection during video surveillance and entry to the secured area at Banka Slovenije

Visitors’ personal data is processed at Banka Slovenije for the purpose of ensuring the security of people and property in accordance with the Private Security Act and regulations governing personal data protection. Personal data obtained for security purposes may only be accessed by authorised persons from the security service, for the purpose of reviewing security incidents. The security service conducts video surveillance in individual sections of and at the entrance to the secured area, and therefore processes the personal data of individuals moving in the secured area. This data may only be transferred to other persons when so stipulated by law, or if a legitimate interest in the transfer has been demonstrated. Personal data collected for security purposes (data in the record of visitors and video surveillance recordings) is stored for up to one year, depending on the location of the video surveillance.

Visitors must undergo a registration process before entering the secured area. This involves the security service verifying their identity by viewing a valid photographic personal identification document, and recording the following data in the record of visitors: first name and surname, address of domicile or temporary residence, type and number of the personal document, reason for the visit, and time and date of entry to and exit from the secured area. When in the secured area, visitors must visibly wear their visitor registration card at all times, and must allow a security officer to vet their identity.
