Supervisory disclosure

Introduction

The importance of supervisory transparency and accountability has been stressed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and by the new European legislation (namely the Directives 2006/48/EC and 2006/49/EC). The Committee on European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) therefore developed a supervisory disclosure framework allowing meaningful comparisons. The tables of information in this framework were developed by a working group of CEBS and are implemented on the individual homepages of the competent authorities of the EU Member States (Bank of Slovenia for credit institutions and Securities Market Agency for investment companies).

The CEBS website will serve as a centralised electronic repository and will allow for quick and easy comparison of the relevant information. The websites of the national competent authorities will provide the exhaustive and detailed information required by the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD).

Bank of Slovenia publishes and gives access to information regarding the texts of laws, regulations, administrative rules and general guidance adopted in the field of prudential regulation and supervision of credit institutions in Slovenia. Information regarding investment companies are available on Securities market agency website. To access CEBS Supervisory Disclosure web site, click here.
